With a diverse southern upbringing spanning from historic Jackson, Mississippi to the old world elegance of New Orleans, Louisiana, Karl Evans Mann was exposed to the many facets of design from a young age. His mother, a prominent patron of the arts, was instrumental in awakening and nurturing his passions of architecture, interiors and fine art.
Karl honed his astute eye for detail during his time in classical New Orleans where his work submerged him in the finer details of architecture, drapery and antiques. From the old world styles of the south, he perfected this gift during his time in Los Angeles. There, he worked for design firms specializing in the clean and relaxed West Coast style for which California is known and mastered the concept of refined elegance. Eventually landing in Chicago, his experience culminated in the founding of Karl Evans Interior Design in 2018.
Karl Evans Interior Designs exists to deliver his clientele curated interiors beyond their expectations. Our philosophy is to establish a collaborative working relationship with each individual in order to teach them about their space and deliver an end product that they will love for years to come.

Karl has a remarkable eye for design and flow. He is extremely detailed and thorough and literally spent countless hours on our bathroom design to make sure that everything was functional, practical, yet aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I appreciate that he takes on each project like it's the only one he is working on at the time and pays careful attention throughout each phase from beginning to end. We have worked with Karl on several projects in our house and have been in awe of the end project, every single time! He is a master at his craft, and the added bonus is that he is so easy to work with, taking into account our needs and purpose while making suggestions that have panned out to be perfect for our home and needs. He is truly the best!!!
